Updating your website can be very straight forward, however it largely depends on what extensions/add-ons your website currently uses. The closer Magento 2 is to it’s vanilla package, the easier it will generally be to upgrade, as extensions can sometimes cause conflicts, or fail to work when major updates are applied.
As part of your upgrade process, we will create a staging environment for your website, on which we will implement the updated patch. We will then report back on any add-on conflicts and advise if there is any cost to replace / update them.
After a thorough check by both our experts and your team, and once all parties are happy, we will propose a date/time to roll out the changes to your live website (typically outside of main business hours). Throughout the entire process we take regular backups, to ensure full recovery should any problems arise.
