Magento 2.4.7 is here!

Magento 2.4.7 is expected to be released 9th of April 2024.

Ecommerce platform, Magento 2 (sometimes referred to as Adobe Commerce), is set to release its general update, Magento 2.4.7. The next release is said to include over a hundred and fifty security and performance fixes as well as general platform enhancements.

Magento 2.4.7 Updates

Included in the release:

  • Changes to the behavior of non-generated cache keys
  • Optimisation of the default Admin URL generation process
  • PHP 8.3 compatibility
  • Varnish cache 7.4 support
  • Elasticsearch 8.11 compatibility
  • RabbitMQ 3.11 Support
  • Updated integrations with some shipping companies (including FedEx and USPS)
  • Enhanced GraphQL caching abilities
  • Page Builder Improvements
  • The fix of issues in Magento 2.4.7 core code such as issues with coupon codes

Whilst a new Magento release often sees the launch of a new UX feature, this release generally looks to focus on underlying platform improvements. While the store owner might not see any obvious changes, the introduction of PHP 8.3 compatibility, Varnish Cache 7.4 support and Elasticsearch 8.11 should go towards improving the robustness and performance of the platform.
