DTF Digital at KACCL

We had a day out of the office yesterday, as we attended the 2022 Kirklees and Calderdale Charity Lunch (KACCL) 2022. The charity’s goal is to raise funds for charities in the local area who specialise in helping young people.

Yesterdays event raised over £25k, which will help the two chosen beneficiaries, which this year were The Lawrence Batley Theatre and SmartMove.

The event was held at The Cedar Court Huddersfield and began with reception drinks and a live singer keeping use entertained with Christmas songs. Shortly after we were taken to our seats for a delicious 3 course lunch. During lunch we were introduced to the work that both The Lawrence Batley Theatre and SmartMove are involved in, and how the money raised will go towards helping both causes. We were also treated to live music from Callum Butterworth, The OrangeBox Choir and The Ukrainian Choir, made up of families who have recently moved to the area as refugees. The performances were amazing and furthermore highlighted why these services need support in order to continue, for the community, the people using them and their families.

After the entertainment the raffle was drawn with over 30 prizes up for grabs and the chairty auction commenced. prizes such as sporting days out, spa experiences and holiday cottages were up for grabs and pretty soon there were bidding wars across the room!

The event concluded with an afterparty down in the basement party room of the hotel.
