An elderly Spanish parishioner has taken it upon herself to “restore” Ecco Homo, a prized painting of Jesus Christ.
Although the restoration was done in good faith, the results are somewhat shocking. The BBC Europe correspondant puts it nicely when he says ” The once dignified portrait now resembles a crayon sketch of a very hairy monkey in an ill fitting tunic”

The moral of the story, stick to what you are good at, and let the professionals do the work.
