It’s probably a little to early to tell, but whilst Google should undoubtably be concerned, they have their own AI solution which is more than likely to be integrated into their search experience, as time progresses. A full release could cause some issues for other search engines, however the likes of Google have been working on their own AI technology for some time now and we expect the two systems could rival each other.
One of our concerns about SearchGPT is how can an AI system make decisions about search terms and phrases that are undoubtably subjective in their response? How does the AI technology respond to phrases such as “Which is the best restaurant in Yorkshire?” without being biased? If the AI technology is a learning algorithm, how do you control the potential for it being manipulated by content and potential fake information it finds online?
