The new BBC homepage got launched the other day. First impressions? Awful. Hideous.

A significant lack of colour makes the page feel clinical, gone are the nice red’s from the old version of the design.

The elements within the scrolling feature block are such a mishmash of sizes it makes it incredibly difficult to concentrate on any particular item. A massive usability turnoff for me. Apparently for most of the people posting on the blog about the launch seem to agree that the new homepage just isnt up to scratch.
