Facebook has today confirmed that reports of private messages appearing in users timelines are in fact false and that the two pieces of data could never be mixed up, adding that functionality to do this has never been created.
Dispite this, some users are still reporting that their old private messages have started to appear. – Maybe a throwback from some older semi-private functionality? Who knows!
