Verfied pages will feature a blue tick, similar to social media platform Twitter, beside their name on timelines, in search results, and on other areas of Facebook. It has been said the following will be listed as verified:

Celebrities
Journalists
Government officials
Popular brands and businesses

You can find out more about verified pages by hovering over the blue tick when you next spot one!Verified Pages will be chosen by Facebook to ensure you know who you are liking and that it is geniune. Facebook have reported that not all authentic profiles and Pages are verified and that you can’t request to have your profile or Page verified.
