Company founder Mark Zuckerberg revealed the news and announced that the billion users were responsible (to date) for 1.13 trillion “likes”, 219 billion photos and 17 billion location check-ins.
The site, launched in 2004 is continuously being developed, and is now been steered towards emerging markets to build its following.
We find it amazing that 1 billion users can be connected simply by one website, what a great tool both for business and on a social level.
