Blackberry finally announced last night via their twitter support that the issues were caused by “Message delays were caused by a core switch failure in RIM’s infrastructure. Now being resolved. Sorry for inconvenience.”

We are some of many who still don’t have full service resumed. It’s very frustrating being unable to pickup emails and use BBM on the device, come on blackberry this is doing nothing for your reputation!

A few high profile twitter users have been voicing their opinion amongst the other frustrated users. Lord Sugar says: “In all my years in IT biz, I have never seen such a outage as experienced by BlackBerry. I can’t understand why it’s taking so long to fix.”.
